Guaranteed Ride Home
When There's an Emergency...You Won't be Stranded
If you're in a CarPool, VanPool or ride TARC and an emergency happens, Ticket to Ride is your ticket home. You simply take a taxi and Ticket to Ride will reimburse you 80% of the cost of your ride home including tip, up to 100 miles. You may use the Guaranteed Ride Home service up to 4 times a year.
The program covers emergencies such as:
- Your own illness
- Your child gets sick at school or daycare
- A family crisis requires your immediate attention
- Unplanned mandatory overtime
When you join the Guaranteed Ride Home program, you will receive a reimbursement form. Complete it and return the form with your taxi receipt. The Guaranteed Ride Home program is also open to people who ride TARC, as long as they are members of Ticket to Ride.
Your Guaranteed Ride Home means:
- You may stop to pick up a child at school or daycare.
- Taxi fares will be reimbursed 80% for trips up to 100 miles one way.
- You can use the Guaranteed Ride Home up to 4 times in any year.
GRH Registration Form
When you complete this form, you will be registered in the Guaranteed Ride Home program. Ticket To Ride will send you 4 vouchers to use when an unplanned emergency arises and you need to leave work or stay late. Just use a cab to get home and make sure you get a receipt. Attach the receipt to the voucher and mail it to Ticket To Ride. We will reimburse your cab costs 80% up to 4 times a year.
